Running tracks use molded crumb rubber for both substrate and surfaces which provides a low stress medium. As an in-fill for football and soccer fields, crumb rubber provides a low stress and low injury surface while eliminating watering and mowing costs. The days of rug burns are over. It has even been used for baseball outfields.
